The Department of 特殊服务 provides academic support to eligible Rowan College South Jersey at 威尼斯人注册 campus students who have documented disabilities. Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 prohibit discrimination on the basis of disability.
The Department of 特殊服务 ensures eligible Rowan College students receive appropriate 住宿 that allow for academic success. Any questions regarding Section 504 or the ADA can be answered by Director

Rowan College students who have disabilities are not required to register with the Department of 特殊服务. Registering with the department is done on a voluntary basis. 然而, students who are interested in receiving certain 住宿 must register with 特殊服务.

Please note that academic 住宿 are determined on a case-by-case basis and only after a student has met with a 特殊服务 工作人员 member. The Department of 特殊服务 is dedicated to a long tradition of personally meeting with each student who requests academic 住宿. Every student is encouraged to complete and submit all required forms and meet with a 特殊服务 工作人员 member as soon as possible so that any approved academic 住宿 are in place prior to the start of the student's upcoming semester at RCSJ.

Students who qualify for 住宿 are encouraged to register with the Department of 特殊服务 at Rowan College before they begin their academic career at Rowan College. This allows students to take advantage of any special 住宿 and auxiliary aids that they might need and be eligible to receive.

The student's specific special need is not disclosed to the student's instructors. 然而, accommodation letters are sent to each of the student’s professors if the student needs testing 住宿 or 住宿 in the classroom. It is the student's choice whether or not to disclose the specifics of his or her special need.
